Summary:

The Fabric Sourcing AM MnB & MnD will manage sourcing,

This position will be reporting to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand the buyer requirement and responsible for procurement of Raw Material, Fabric, Accessories and Packing Materials based on procurement through strategic planning.

Responsible for executing and monitoring effective procurement schedules along with finalizing the cost, specifications of the materials and establishing the quality & quantity limits for effective inventory control.

Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies, discovering profitable suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships, negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms and Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.

Examine and test existing contracts approve Color/design as per buyer.

Identify advantages and limitations of the fabric. Highlight the anticipatory problems in fabrics well in advance before booking.

Initiate new developments like prints, library and research and development. Regular visits to new vendors in country and overseas for accreditation and to bridge relation between vendors and our company.

Identify and evaluate vendors, manage vendor payments, price negotiation and reassure

the commitment as per buyer requirement, in case of nominated vendors place orders as per requirements.

Arrange the traceability and sustainability documents as required for the supplied fabrics from the supplier.

Invite Mills with their new fabric ranges to give presentation to designers/merchants.

Building a high performing fabric sourcing team that delivers excellent end-to-end performance as measured by internal and external customers.

Structure Analytics & reports and provide the same to the concerned department

Job Specification:

B.Tech, Diploma in Textile Technology with 5-6 + yrs. of experience.

Min. 5+ yrs. in-depth exposure in handling fabric sourcing

Geographically diverse apparel manufacturing operations experience will be a definite advantage.
