Craft Boat is a Jaipur-based design and manufacturing company specialising in artisan-made products. Over the years, we have expanded into handcrafted textiles, creating home goods and apparel for globally conscious brands. In 2022, we launched our label Seeds of Anaar, for small batch-wholesale and D2C retail.
POSITION OVERVIEW :
Craft Boat is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Apparel Designer to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in Indian textile traditions, sustainable design, and hands-on material exploration. You will work closely with our design team to develop apparel concepts and oversee client communication and business relations with international clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Research and develop apparel silhouettes, prints, and color palettes.
• Support the fashion team with mood boards, swatches, and product samples.
• Collaborate with artisans to bring designs to life.
• Prepare size sets and tech packs of final garments.
• Experiment with techniques like block printing, embroidery, and weaving.
• Maintain archive and documentation of apparel developments.
• Build and maintain relationships with international clients

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :
• Bachelors degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design or a related field.
• 0 to 1 year of experience (internships or academic projects accepted).
• Knowledge of pattern making, garment construction and standard.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate.
• Hands-on experience with fabric printing, embroidery, or surface techniques.
• Strong eye for detail, color, and composition.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable using G-Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
