Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Fabric Technician specializing in knitted garments to oversee fabric quality, ensure compliance with standards, and optimize fabric performance for production. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in fabric testing, approvals, and troubleshooting related to knitted fabrics.

Requirements :
• 12 to 15 years of experience in fabric quality control, preferably in the knitted garments industry.
• In-depth knowledge of knitting techniques, yarn types, dyeing processes, and finishing treatments.
• Strong understanding of fabric testing protocols and industry standards.
• Experience working with export houses and international buyers is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in fabric inspection techniques and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
• Candidates from Tiruppur are preferred.

Key Responsibilities :
• Evaluate and approve knitted fabrics for production, ensuring quality meets company and customer standards.
• Conduct fabric testing for shrinkage, GSM, color fastness, pilling resistance, and other key parameters.
• Collaborate with fabric suppliers and dyeing/processing units to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with buyer specifications and international quality standards.
• Monitor fabric performance during cutting, sewing, and finishing stages to prevent defects.
• Work closely with the design, merchandising, and production teams to identify and rectify fabric-related challenges.
• Develop and implement fabric inspection procedures to minimize rejections and wastage.
• Keep updated with the latest trends in fabric technology and recommend improvements for better efficiency and quality.
