Job Title : Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop original designs and concepts based on current trends and market needs.
• Create sketches, technical drawings, and detailed specifications for new collections.
• Select fabrics, colors, and patterns, ensuring they align with the brands aesthetic.
• Collaborate with other team members including pattern makers, sewers, and production staff to ensure the final product meets design standards.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on fashion trends, competitor products, and customer preferences.
• Participate in fittings, adjust designs based on feedback, and ensure quality control throughout the production process.
• Present designs and collections to stakeholders for approval.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Stay informed about the latest industry developments and innovations.

Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in fashion design.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other CAD applications.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and production processes.
• Excellent sketching and illustration skills. Creative flair and a strong sense of color, texture, and design.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with luxury or high-end fashion brands.
• Knowledge of sustainable fashion practices and materials.
• Familiarity with various fabric treatments and embellishments.
