Plant Head - Textile Industry

The Plant Head is responsible for the overall management and coordination of all plant operations in a textile manufacturing facility. This includes planning, organizing, and controlling production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

- Oversee daily operations of the plant.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize production processes to meet production goals.
- Implement and maintain production schedules and adjust schedules as needed.
- Monitor production activities and adjust resources to meet production demands.

Quality Control:

- Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards.
- Implement and manage quality control processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished goods.
- Address and resolve any quality issues that arise.

Workforce Management:

- Supervise and lead a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators.

- Recruit, train, and evaluate plant staff.

- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.

- Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Health and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

- Promote a culture of safety within the plant.

- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

- Develop and manage the plant's budget.

- Monitor and control production costs to ensure profitability.

- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Process Improvement:

- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Use lean manufacturing principles to optimize plant operations.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

- Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of raw materials and finished goods.

- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

Reporting:

- Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality, safety, and financial performance.
