We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Design and Development Specialist to join our team. This role will support our product design and development initiatives across various categories, including technical design, footwear, and administration. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical design, raw material sourcing, product lifecycle management (PLM), and competitive market analysis. This position requires a meticulous approach to evaluating, documenting, and updating our design and production processes.

Responsibilities :

Design / Technical Design

• Overhaul and evaluate current garment fits compared to market competition.
• Develop detailed specification measurements across all item categories, incorporating additional points of measurement to enhance accuracy.
• Adjust measurement methods from full circumference to flat measurements.
• Create "fit blocks" and DXF files for block patterns.
• Produce point-of-measure renderings and detailed technical design sheets for existing styles.
• Design common construction detail drawings and trim component sheets.
• Conduct raw material sourcing to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Compile and analyse competitive market trend reports to stay ahead in the industry.

Footwear Specialist :

• Evaluate current footwear sizing and fit against industry standards.
• Identify and implement additional tasks related to footwear development as necessary Administration
• Build out and maintain the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) library.
• Input all fabrics and trim components into the PLM virtual library.
• Assign Refrigiwear part to each component in the library.
• Populate the library with detailed material properties, including cost, size, supplier, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, finishes, and composition.
• Create comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) for each legacy product.

Requirements :

• Strong understanding and knowledge in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiencey in MS Excel and other Microsoft apllications
• Experience working with apparel measurements and product design.
• Must posses atleast 2 year experience in product development and design.
• Degrees from Textile, Garments and fashion is an asset.
