Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Description: A Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring that all equipment and facilities are operating at optimal levels. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies, as well as managing and monitoring maintenance expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Create and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure timely and effective maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary maintenance supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operation of all facilities and equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot any maintenance issues and work with team to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential maintenance issues and address them proactively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of necessary maintenance materials.
- Oversee the maintenance budget and ensure that all expenses are within budget.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Train and mentor new maintenance technicians to ensure their development and success within the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in computer programs such as MS Office, CMMS, and other maintenance software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions:
- The role may require working in varying weather conditions and exposure to loud noises and fumes.
- Flexibility with work schedules may be necessary to accommodate maintenance needs.
