Position Overview :
We invite applications for the post of Textile Designer at our Ambala unit. This role is ideal for individuals who hold a deep respect for Indian textile heritage and are committed to reviving handloom traditions through purposeful design. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating textiles that are both beautiful and reflective of India's timeless aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities :
• Design original woven, printed, and embroidered textiles in accordance with traditional Indian styles and techniques.
• Collaborate with local artisans and weavers to develop fabrics aligned with seasonal and thematic concepts.
• Research indigenous craft traditions, regional motifs, and natural materials to inform design direction.
• Create mood boards, fabric samples, and detailed technical specifications for sampling and production.
• Maintain quality and craftsmanship standards while preserving the authenticity of handmade textiles.

Desired Qualifications :
• Degree or diploma in Textile Design, Handloom Technology, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in textile design, preferably within the handloom or craft-based sector.
• Strong understanding of traditional Indian textile techniques such as weaving, block printing, natural dyeing, and embroidery.
• Ability to work respectfully with artisan communities and contribute to knowledge-sharing on the ground.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus, but not essential.
• Passion for khadi, Indian crafts, and sustainable design practices.
