Textile Designer Job Role :
• Digitally create textile patterns, prints and motifs. These designs will serve as the foundation for creation of fabrics, prints and other textile related materials.
• Producing initial sketches on the computer using CADCAM software.
• Discussing with other colleagues, especially textile operatives regarding the feasibility and practicality of designs.
• Presenting new design concepts, and fabric qualities.
• Creating multiple colour ways for all textile prints.
• Liaising with the internal product development team and suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that the products are printed and manufactured correctly.
• Performing graphic design duties on Brochures ad Catalogues.
• Organise and maintain design files and archives systematically to ensure easy retrieval and access for future reference.

Required Qualification : 

• Diploma or Degree in Textile Designing
• Textile designing using Cadcam for Jacquard, Embroidery and Print
• 5 -6 years’ experience in designing
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw for digital design creation and editing
• Knowledge of fabric types, weaves and printing techniques
• A passion for textiles, fashion and design trends
