We are seeking a talented and experienced Textile Engineer with expertise in fabrics to join our team at Frido. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our assistive technology products, ensuring that our fabric solutions meet the highest standards of comfort, durability, and functionality. This includes working on manufacturing processes, conducting research and development (R&D), quality control & assurance and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize expert knowledge of textile materials, yarns and manufacturing processes to select appropriate fabrics for our product range, considering factors such as comfort, durability, breathability, and washability.
• Linking the chemical, physical and mechanical properties of fiber, textiles, and flexible composites to products and performance.
• Maintaining visual aesthetics, color and texture of the fabric while changing its properties to suit desired environment.
• Sampling the fabric and set the fabric parameters for the manufacturing at vendors end.
• Co-ordinating with vendors and manufacturing facilities through phone call, video meets and site visit.
• Should have fairly good idea about motif &pattern and an aesthetic bend of mind for color and texture.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in textile engineering and fabric science, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our product offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, and manufacturing, to integrate fabric solutions into product designs and prototypes.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed design drawings and prototypes for textile products.
• Establish quality standards and specifications for fabric materials, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and customer requirements.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance throughout the product development and manufacturing process.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in textile engineering, materials science, or related field; advanced degree or specialized certification preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the Textiles sector, preferably with a portfolio that highlights expertise in product manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of textile production and design complexities.
• Capable of comprehending buyer requirements and delivering CADs and artwork within set timelines.
