Role Description :
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Sr. Textile Designer located in Panipat.
- The Sr. Textile Designer will be responsible for creating and developing textures, graphics, and designs, incorporating elements of rug weaving and textiles. They will work closely with the design team to curate market-ready collections that align with global trends and customer insights.
Responsibilities Identify market trends and Buyer/market needs.
- Product Design & Development: Work closely with the in-house design team to conceptualize and develop new collections for rugs, carpets, cushions etc. Select raw materials, color palettes, and textures that align with brand and client expectations.
- Sampling & Prototyping: Oversee the sample development process, ensuring TOP/PP/SAMPLES meet quality, cost, and client spec. sheets from customer. Working with production teams to ensure the feasibility of new designs for ease in manufacturing.
- Oversee the design and sampling of new products each season/trade fairs like Heimtextil. Coordinate with production to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of home décor trends, textiles, and materials. Experience in new product development for export markets (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa). Ability to manage multiple product launches simultaneously. Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, weaving, tufting, dyeing, and finishing. Strong communication and presentation skills for client interactions and trade shows. Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW) is a plus.
